Registration for Winter 2026 classes is now closed

The following will be offered at FSPG for the Winter 2026 session. 


Registration will be through the Fort Saskatchewan Winter Online Leisure Guide, and registration will happen earlier than previously, on Tuesday December 9th, at 8am. 


Note: There will NOT be an in-person registration, as there has been in previous years. We also expect that  classes will fill very quickly.

Learn Hand building techniques, glazing and intro to the potter’s wheel, as well as an introduction to the FSPG

All Classes - Additional Information

At the Pottery Guild we keep the cost of our Classes and Workshops down through volunteer activity. Potters are required to contribute some time & elbow grease during the session, plus perform normal housekeeping chores as required. In addition, you are required to treat the studio an other peoples belongings with caution and respect.

FAQs

If I miss a day, will there be a makeup class?

No,  there will be no makeup sessions provided for missed classes.  

What is Saturday studio time?

Saturday studio time is a time for students to come and work on their pots outside of their weekly classes whilst being supervised by an fspg member. During each class session we provide studio time for students from our adult classes on Saturdays from 12:15pm-4:00pm. There is a limit of 8 spots available on a first come first serve basis with a fee of $10. Students are not allowed to enter the guild until 12:15pm (no coming in early). Students may attend a maximum of 6 Saturday studio times per session. 

How do I become an FSPG Member?

In order to apply to become an FSPG Member one must meet the following requirements:

- taken at least 2 beginner classes at FSPG

- volunteered a total of 10 hours in a 6 month period (from either January-June or July-December) these volunteer hours must be logged using our volunteer hours log under the FORMS tab

- completed the FSPG Membership Application, including a checklist of tasks that members have signed off on

What responsibilities do FSPG Members have?

FSPG Members have many responsibilities:

- pick a committee(s) to be a part of each session

- volunteer a total of 20 hours biannually (January-June and July-December) 

of those 20 hours, 10 hours must be committee hours and 10 non-committee hours

- log all volunteer hours 

- attend executive meetings (usually zoom meetings) that occur once a month
